Groom Lake is the geographical name for Area51, the super-secret US Government military testing base in Nevada, USA – 83miles NNW of Las Vegas.
——————-
Groom Lake is an Artist Management & Tour Management firm from the UK.
Groom Lake Entertainment is owned and operated by Charles W. Brown. Charles is a BSc degree-educated professional who got into the music industry whilst at University.
In 2004 at a cKy show in Manchester, Charles came-across longtime-friend Martin Lamb of Elite Logistics Productions. Charles informed Martin that he was currently on a hands-on and very practical broadcast-TV degree at the University of Bradford. Soon after, Charles and Martin were teaming up and filming many of the bands he toured with (Martin had been a TM for over 20 years) namely Trivium and Dimmu Borgir at the time.
Charles co-produced Dimmu Borgir’s Invaluble Darkness DVD and Trivium’s ‘To The Rat’s Music video for RoadRunner Records.

After realising the organisational talent and production skills Charles had (and proved whilst filming high-profile acts), Martin offered him some low-key “easy” driving jobs. Some of the first acts Charles worked with were From Autumn To Ashes and Madina Lake.
His first “high-profile” TM-gig was with Grand Rapids, MI metalers Still Remains.
Charles would continue touring with Still Remains for over 190shows until their disbandment in 2008.
Post the Still Remains breakup Charles Tour managed many acts across the globe.
The difference with Groom Lake is that Charles was a Tour Manager first, and an Artist Manager second. He knows how it is on the road whereas many other Artist managers do not. TMing is a totally different world, and knowledge of “the road” is hard to come by. Luckily Charles learnt from the best there is.
Charles’ first major act added to his roster would be Canadian-heavy metal outfit Blessed By A Broken Heart. Originally he was hired as their Tour manager for a series of Japan shows – However, the band realised his potential and got on with him so well that they hired him as their full time manager.
2011/2012 will see Charles touring the world once again and the release of Blessed By A Broken Heart’s debut on Tooth & Nail Records.
Charles utilises his degree along with experience gained in tour management and artist management to create a full service company that has the Artists wellbeing at its core.. because without the artist, there’s no industry.
Charles chose the company name ‘Groom Lake Entertainment’ based upon his love of science-fiction and the conspiracy theories surrounding Area 51. In his spare time he travels, designs and builds websites, listens to music and attends live shows live shows (naturally), religiously watches late-90′s US-sitcoms and plays video games.
